Les Etangs du Plateau des Landes
- In order to benefit from the services offered by our campsite, we ask you to read carefully the general conditions below. These conditions govern the sale of holidays and are valid at the time the order is placed. The fact of booking a stay implies full acceptance of our general conditions.
Booking conditions
- The reservation becomes effective after receipt of the 30% deposit and after receipt of either the duly completed and signed reservation contract, or after acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale when booking online.
- Reservations are only binding on the campsite if the campsite has accepted them, which the campsite is free to do or refuse, depending on availability and, in general, on any circumstances likely to affect the execution of the reservation made. The campsite offers family-oriented stays, in the traditional sense, and the accommodation is specially designed for this purpose. The campsite reserves the right to refuse any reservation that is contrary to this principle, or that seeks to divert it.
- The reservation of a camping pitch or a rental is made on a strictly personal basis. Under no circumstances may you sublet or transfer your reservation without the prior consent of the village.
- Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Camping pitch
The basic package includes the pitch for a tent, caravan or camper van for 1 or 2 people, access to the sanitary facilities and the reception facilities.
Rental
The rental accommodation is fully equipped. The basic package is from 2 to 6 places depending on the type of rental.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than the capacity of the rented accommodation.
Cancellation insurance :
- It costs 5% of the stay including options.
- It covers the entire stay including options.
- It must be taken out at the time of booking
Group bookings
Any booking of more than 4 accommodations by the same natural person or by different natural persons who know each other and travel together for the same reasons on the same dates of stay on the campsite are considered as a group.
The accommodation offered on the website https://www.lesetangsduplateaudeslandes.fr/fr/les-locations.html is exclusively intended for individual customers.
For any group reservation request, you must contact the campsite by telephone, by e-mail or via our "contact us" section.
Prices and tourist taxes
The prices indicated are valid for the 2023 season. They are per night and are in euros, including VAT.
The tourist tax is 0.30€/adult
Terms of payment
For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 30% of the price of the services booked must be paid on booking at the campsite. The balance must be paid at the latest 30 days before the start of the stay.
For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of the stay, the full payment must be made at the time of booking at the campsite (15% deposit + balance of the stay).
In the event of non-payment of the deposit at the time of booking or of the balance at the latest 30 days before the start of the stay by the client, the campsite reserves the right to cancel the booking and to re-offer the accommodation for rent.
NO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the campsite informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date or according to a specific schedule is not subject to the provisions relating to the 14-day withdrawal period.
Cancellation and modification
Modification of your reservation
- Change of booking:
The client has the possibility to request a modification of his stay at the campsite, either by changing the dates or the type of accommodation. This request must be made in writing (by post or e-mail) to the campsite and will be processed according to availability and the possibilities offered by the campsite. Please note that any request for change cannot be carried over to the next season. If the customer cannot change his/her stay, he/she will have to maintain the original conditions of his/her reservation or cancel his/her stay according to the terms and conditions.
If the client wishes to increase the length of their stay, this can be done subject to availability and according to the rates in force. On the other hand, if the client wishes to reduce the length of their stay, this will be considered as a partial cancellation and will therefore be subject to the conditions of cancellation and interruption of the stay.
- Unused services:
If the stay is interrupted or shortened for reasons beyond the control of the customer (such as the closure of the borders or the campsite by administrative decision, or the limitation of travel to a number of kilometres that does not allow the customer to come to the campsite), the campsite will issue a voucher for the equivalent of the nights not used. This voucher will be valid for a period of two years. If the customer refuses this voucher, he/she can be reimbursed on request. However, if the interruption or shortening of the stay is due to the client's own initiative (such as late arrival or early departure), no refund or voucher can be given.
Cancellation by camping Les Etangs du Plateau des Landes
In the event of cancellation by the campsite, except in cases of force majeure, the sums paid for the reservation will be fully refunded. However, this cancellation cannot give rise to the payment of damages.
Cancellation by the camper
In the event of cancellation by the camper, except in cases of force majeure, the conditions for cancellation and reimbursement are as follows. All cancellation requests must be sent by post to the postal address 8 Rue du Parfum des Sapins, 62570 Helfaut or by e-mail:
1) In case of cancellation by the camper without taking out cancellation insurance
a) For one of the following reasons (preventing the stay):
- Closure of the borders by administrative decision
- Administrative closure of the campsite
- Limitation of travel to a number of kilometres by administrative decision not allowing to come to the campsite
The campsite will issue a voucher for the full amount paid, valid for two years. If the client refuses to accept this voucher, he/she will be reimbursed, on request, for the corresponding amount.
b) For all other reasons:
- Case 1: Cancellation up to 16 (sixteen) days before the beginning of the stay. The deposit of 15% of the total amount of the stay will be retained by the campsite as a cancellation fee. The sums paid, deducted from the amount of the deposit, will be refunded. If the payment has been made in part or in full with a voucher of a higher value than the deposit: the deposit of 15% of the amount of the stay will be retained by the campsite as cancellation costs. A new non-refundable voucher for a period of 2 years to be used at the campsite where the stay was cancelled will be issued with the amount of the original voucher minus the 15% deposit. The rest of the sums paid other than the voucher will be refunded.
- Case 2: Cancellation between D-15 and D-8 before the beginning of the stay. A sum of 30% of the total amount of the stay will be retained by the campsite as cancellation fees. A voucher will be issued for an amount corresponding to the sums paid minus the cancellation fee of 30% of the total amount of the stay. This voucher is non-refundable, non-transferable, can only be used at the campsite where the stay was cancelled and is valid for two years.
- Case 3: Cancellation between D-7 and D-0 before the start of the stay. The total amount paid, i.e. the total amount of the stay, is retained by the campsite. No refund will be made. If the client does not arrive at the campsite within two days of the start of the stay and without having informed the campsite by letter or e-mail beforehand, the reservation will be considered as cancelled by the client. The campsite therefore reserves the right to offer the accommodation for rent again.
In the event of cancellation of the stay, the amount paid in holiday vouchers cannot be reimbursed in accordance with article L.112-14 I. of the Monetary and Financial Code. In this case, a non-refundable voucher valid for 2 years, to be used at the campsite where the holiday was cancelled, will be issued for the amount paid in holiday vouchers, after deduction of any deposit, in accordance with the conditions indicated above.
2) In case of cancellation by the camper with a subscription to our cancellation insurance
The sums paid are covered by the guarantee according to the general conditions of cancellation. Find the General Conditions of the cancellation insurance [by clicking here]. If the reason is not covered by the cancellation insurance or if the file is refused by it, the general sales conditions of paragraph 4 a. apply and the cost of the cancellation insurance will be deducted from the sums paid in case of cancellation.
Your stay
1) Arrival
If a "health pass" is required by the government of the country where the campsite is located on the dates of the booked stay, all participants in the stay who are subject to this requirement must present a valid "health pass" on arrival in order to enter the campsite.- The periods and days of arrival are variable.
- Rental accommodation: on the day of your arrival at the campsite, you will be welcomed from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. At this time, you will receive the keys to your accommodation and an inventory of fixtures form will be given to you. This form must be returned to reception within 24 hours of your arrival. You will also be asked to pay a deposit of 400 € and another 80 € to cover the cleaning costs in case of non-compliance with the maintenance rules of the accommodation.
During your stay
The camper is obliged to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of his/her personal belongings such as bicycles, etc. The campsite declines all responsibility for any incident for which the camper is liable. In addition, each guest must comply with the campsite's internal regulations. As a tenant, the camper is responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by persons staying with or visiting him/her.
Departure
On the day of departure indicated on your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 10 a.m. The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition and the inventory may be checked. Any broken or damaged object will be charged to you, as well as the restoration of the premises if necessary. The deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay, after deducting the compensation deducted from the supporting invoices for any damage found during the exit inventory. Please note that the withholding of the deposit does not exclude additional compensation if the costs exceed the amount of the deposit.
If the accommodation has not been cleaned before your departure, the 80€ cleaning deposit will be cashed.
In the event of a late departure, you will be charged an extra day at the current nightly rate.
Animals
Pets are welcome on the campsite for a fee payable at the time of booking. However, dogs of the 1st and 2nd category are not allowed. If your pet is accepted, it must be kept on a lead at all times and it is forbidden to take it into the playground and the sanitary facilities, but it is welcome in the reception, the bar and the snack bar. We also ask you to ensure that your dog or cat's vaccination record is up to date.
Image
By agreeing to stay at our campsite, you give your express permission, as well as that of all persons staying with you, to be photographed, filmed or recorded during your stay. You also agree that these images, sounds, videos and recordings may be used on all media, in particular on our website, Facebook, Instagram, presentation and promotional materials for the campsite, travel or tourist guides.
This authorisation is exclusively for the purpose of promoting and enlivening the campsite and may not under any circumstances damage your reputation. It is granted free of charge for a period of 5 years and extends to all countries. The campsite, as well as any person it may wish to replace, undertakes to use the images, sounds, videos and recordings in a manner that respects your privacy.
Dispute
Any complaint concerning the non-conformity of the services with the contractual commitments can be reported by mail or e-mail to the campsite Les Etangs du Plateau des Landes.
Mediation
In the event of a dispute with our establishment, you can contact us in the following way

In the event of a dispute, and after having contacted the campsite's customer service, any customer of the establishment may refer the matter to a consumer ombudsman, within a maximum of one year from the date of the written complaint, by registered letter to the operator. Our campsite undertakes to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information on its website concerning the presentation photos, descriptions, activities, leisure activities, services and operating dates. However, some of this information is provided by partners, which makes it impossible to guarantee its accuracy at all times. Nevertheless, we endeavour to keep this information as up-to-date and accurate as possible.
It is important to note that our campsite is only subject to an obligation of means with regard to the updating of the information published on our website.
